This weekend we were at one of our favourite venues Ibrox stadium home of Rangers football team. Sharon and David are lifelong fans of the team so it seemed appropriate that they should be married there.
Sharon chose a gorgeous Ivory gown covered in Crystals while her bridesmaids looked gorgeous in Royal blue, even the guys were looking splendid in the Rangers Tartan.

After the ceremony the couple went the short distance to Bellahouston park for a few photos before returning to Ibrox for some photos with their family and friends the highlight of which was when we were allowed to have a few photos with the league Championship cup.

This week we ahd the pleasure of photographing a lovely couple Jennifer and James at St Convals Church in Linwood. It was a lovely day for a wedding and Jennifer was stunning just as we thought she would be.

After the service the couple travelled onto Erskine Hospital for a few private photos before joining their guests on the deck of Ingliston Equestrian centre in Bishopton for some drinks and canapes before dinner.

Jennifer and James are now off on a luxury Honeymoon to the Maldives.

Nikki was absolutly stunning in a figure hugging gown she even outshown Richard who arrived in style in a Faboulous red Ferrari.
The couple emigrate to Australia in only 4 weeks so no time for a honeymoon yet .

With the start of a new year it bring the start of the wedding enquiries, around about this time every year we find that the enquiries for weddings is non stop.
Many of you will find that every weekend there is a wedding show at some hotel or venue, but we find that 90% of all of our enquiries come from previous brides and their families not through wedding shows.

Today we had a lovely wedding for a couple we only met a week ago, Karen and Bruce asked us to photograph their wedding after karens brother who was going to take the photos had to cancel due to commitments with the Army. So we were very privileged when Karen called and said we were the only photographers she considered to do the job.

Today we had an unusual kind of wedding as this was a back again shoot for a lovely couple who we met after Claire came to us for a boudoir shoot, this was a surprise for Tommy for their wedding day on the 1st Oct this year.
Unfortunately Claire and Tommy had a bad experience with the original studio they chose to do their wedding photographs, with many of the photos either missing or of poor quality, so we stepped in and offered them a re shoot to help ease their disappointment.
Hopefully these photos will go some way to easing their bad memories of their original photos

Today we had another of our newborns in, this time it was the turn of a gorgeous little 8 day old baby boy called Lucas, and his pretty 3 year old sister Elise.
Both the children were wonderful in front of the camera in fact Lucas slept through most of the sitting. You will see from one of the photos Lucas is already a Glasgow Rangers fan.

This we were honered to be asked to photograph our friends younger sisters wedding at park Circus in Glasgow. As typical for Glasgow it poured down all day, but that didnt spoil things for the couple who grinned all the way through their vows.
After a few brief photos at Park Circus Tracey and Callum moved on to the prestigeous venue in the West end Hotel du vin to meet their guests for the wedding breakfast.

As the day was bright and sunny we decided to venture to the very popular Ross Hall Park for some stunning photos, after which we returned to the studio for a hot cup of tea to help thaw out before doing some shots in the studio.

Our second wedding this week was at the stunning venue of Culcreuch Castle in Fintry. Sophia and Andrew had a special guest at their wedding when Toffee, Sophias horse came along as a special guest.

This weekend we had two lovely weddings the first of which was a little unusual for us as it was held in Rangers football Stadium in Ibrox. The wedding began a little late due to traffic problems, but that didnt stop Morag and Kenny greeting each other with a big smile when they met at the front of the room.
The service went well, with Morags Sister reciting a lovely reading to the couple.
After the ceremony the couple were allowed to have some photographs taken in and around various places within Ibrox including the Trophy room, Managers office, players changing room, and the directors box.

This weekend we were on home turf when we went to the stunning location of Paisley Abbey for Avril and Toms wedding. After a minor mishap of one of the cars breaking down Avril kept her composure and arrived at the church only 10mins late for the ceremony which went without a hitch from then on.
After some photos in Ross hall park the couple then travelled onto to Paisley Town hall to a waiting crowd on the balcony cheering for them on arrival.

Sunday morning brought us travelling to Burnhouse Manor in Beith for Donna and Chris,s wedding.
The weather was lovely when we arrived and stayed like that the whole day. The ceremony went really well apart from the humanist forgetting to untie the tie over their hands before they walked up the aisle.
Most of the photos were taken in and around the Manor, with only a few being taken at a small cottage nearby.

This weekends wedding was held in the fantastic venue of Airth castle in Falkirk. The day started our with dark clouds and heavy rain, but as it grew nearer the time for the wedding the rain cleared but it brought along some high winds but this did not wipe the smile off our gorgeous bride Paulines face when she saw Darren for the first time.
The service was really emotional as this was the registrars last ever wedding before retiring yesterday, so she had a wee tear in her eye as well as most of the congregation.
After the service we went out side for some stunning photos with castle before we had to go back inside out of the wind.
Pauline and Darren then did the traditional march down to the reception suite led by the piper.

As we didnt have a wedding today we decided to get up to date with some of our pre wedding shoots. Pauline and Darren came to the studio and luck would have it it poured just before they arrived, this made it difficult to go to Pollok house.
During a brief 10 minute spell of dry weather we rushed outside and managed to get these gorgeous shots of them against the wall and roller shutter for the studio.
I am sure you will agree that the photos are just stunning with so much colour in them.

This weeks wedding had us travelling less than a mile from home to our local church St Bernadettes in Erskine. Our Lovely couple Jacqueline & Matthew came to us from a long succession of previous bride & Grooms. The service went without a hitch on what turned out to be one of the warmest days of the year so far, after which the couple went to the Erskine Hospital for their photos before going to the Erskine Bridge Hotel for a reception with their Family and friends.

Our second wedding this weekend was in a venue we love working in Glenskirlie Castle, the couple Lauren and Mark chose their local church St Augustines to make their vows to each other, after which we travelled to Colzioum Country Park for the photoshoot even though it was pouring with rain when we arrived.
Lauren looked stunning in a lace gown and antique veil, mark wasn,t bad either LOL.
As Lauren is a teacher the couple cant go on their Honeymoon until the end of school term in June, so we expect them at our studio door very soon to see their stunning images.

On Friday we had the pleasure of photographing a lovely wedding in St Mirins Cathedral and then the Paisley Town Hall. Our bride Lindsey was absolutley gorgeous in a antique style lace gown and headpiece while her groom Ryan was equally handsome in a unusual light grey kilt outfit.
After the hitch free wedding ceremony the guests were amazed to see to couple had hired a vintage vw beetle and camper van to take the wedding party to the reception, while the bride and groom went to the stunning location of the old watermill in Paisley for some photos before returning to the town hall to meet their guests for some more photos on the balcony .

Our third wedding this week is one that we have been looking forward to for almost 2 years as Douglas[ Dougie] has been a friend of our family since he was in 1st year at High school when he became our son Stephens best pal, so it has been pretty strange to watch this young 13 year old grow up and get married to his stunning sweetheart Rebecca[ Becky].
The couple held their ceremony in the Renfrew Parish church on what seemed like temperatures reaching the 90s, so you can imagine how hard it was for Dougie not to disappear over to the Wallace Bar for a pint LOL.
After the service the reception was held with stunning backdrop of Loch Lomond in the Duck Bay Marina, but many of the photographs were taken within the grounds of the Loch Lomond Youth Hotel just across the road.

Later after dark the couple had a surprise firework display,which they even kept secret from us, fortunatly Stephen our son was a guest and managed to capture of few shots after we left.

Our second lovely couple this weekend were Lynne and Gordon who were married in the prestious venue of Mar Hall in Erskine. Lynne was was just breathtaking in her crystal white gown complete with 10ft long veil.
The ceremory was very very emotional, just when Lynne started to walk down the aisle Gordon turned to have a look and just could not hold back the tears as he saw Lynne for the first time. From that moment it was hard for anyone in the congregation to keep from filling up.
After the ceremony we took a tour of the fantastic grounds that Mar Hall has to offer and got some of the most stunning photographs we have ever seen.

I am sure that when Lynne and Gordon are back from Honeymoon they will be at our door to see them.

On what has been the sunniest weekend of the year, we had the pleasure of photographing Lorraine and Ryans wedding at Caldwell Parish Church. The weather as you can see in the photographs was just glorious.
The service went with no hitches at all, and after a short journey we arrived at the gorgeous surroundings on Pollok Country House for the official photographs.

Lorraine was stunning in a very unusual gown as it has thousands of tiny pink crystals sewn all over it, she really did look like a wee princess.
After the formal photographs we took the couple a short tour of the park and managed to get many stunning photographs, which I am sure they will be dying to see on their return for their honeymoon in two weeks time.

This weekends wedding took place in Broomhall castle in Stirling , our Bride and Groom Emma and Stuart originally came to us after entering a competition at the Braehead wedding show 2 years ago.
We were really excited to be part of this wedding as it was a new venue for us, and although we had to travel to Stirling it was worth every minute as it was a real pleasure being part of this lovely wedding.
On arrival Angela went to the brides room to get the preparation shots in the fabulous bridal suite, Emma was just stunning in her Oyster coloured gown, with the style being very reminiscent of a vintage era. Stuart on the other and looked great in his kilt.
The Moving ceremony was conducted by a wedding celebrant who included the ancient Scottish tradition of hand fasting, many of the guests had tears in their eyes during the lovely personal vows written by the couple.
As a surprise for Stuart, Emma arranged for a display of birds of prey during the photo session which took place at the gorgeous venue of Cambuskenneth Abbey.

Emma and Stuart are not going on honeymoon for another few weeks, so wee look forward to seeing them very soon to view their fantastic wedding photos....

Yesterdays wedding, took us to the lovely venue of the Dalmeny Country House Hotel, the weather was just perfect for this outdoor ceremony which took place in the magnificent garden area .
When we got there Graeme our groom was busy running around make last minute preparations with his best man and ushers, and after some photos of the guys they were sent inside to have a few words with the minister Mr Douglas Ralph, who until recentley was the minister for the Thomas Coats Memorial church in Paisley.
For the first time in ages our beautiful brides Claire arrived early surrounded by 4 equally lovely bridesmaids dressed in pink.
The ceremony had a interesting twist the ancient Scottish tradition of hand tying, after the ceremony the couple joined their guests on the lawn for some champagne before commencing with the photographs.

Claire and Graeme are now away on a fun filled honeymoon to Florida staying in a Disney hotel.

Our second wedding this weekend took us to the breathtaking venue of The Barony Halls in Glasgows City Centre, originally it was used as a church, but now it is owned by Strathclyde University who use it for graduations and various functions including weddings.
Our gorgeous bride Kim actually arrived early despite the fact that the very nervous groom predicted her to be late. The service went well apart from one thing the couples beautiful baby boy Mark slept through the whole ceremony, therefore missing his parents wedding, we even had to waken him up 2 hours later to get some photos just to prove the point he was actually there.
The photos were taken in and around the Barony which drew a few comments from the many tourists in Glasgow city centre, including an open top bus tour which stopped to have a look.

The day itself began with a little light drizzle but by the time the guests started to arrive the sun came out and provided us with a glorious backdrop up the loch.
Suzanne was absolutely stunning in an Ivory gown studded with crystals, and not to forget Mark who was very handsome too.
The Ceremony conducted by the Rev Ian Miller was extremely funny with many the guests having tears of laughter when Mark gave Suzanne the wrong hand to put his wedding ring on.
After the formalities were over the wedding party proceeded onto the steps of the priory for some photographs with the wedding party after which they went onto the jetty for more gorgeous shots with the stunning scenery behind.

Suzanne and Mark leave for for their dream honeymoon to the Dominican Republic on Monday, we wish them all the best.

A Busy 2 weeks

For those of you who have been reading our blog you will realise we moved into our new studio in Hillington Park only 2 weeks ago, at the time we expected the next few weeks to be fairly quiet, how wrong were, just over the last week we have had several shoots including baby shoots,engagement shoots and pet shoots. We have put 1 or 2 photos from each shoot. The one above is of one of our past wedding couples and their gorgeous two boys Matthew and Lewis.

This weekend we had the pleasure of shooting two lovely couples,the first was Christine and Martin a couple who wedding we are doing on the 10th July this year in the Marine Hotel in Troon.
The second lovely couple Donna and Jim came to us through the Scottish wedding directory they are getting Married in 2011 in the Rednor Park Hotel In Clydebank,although we are not shooting their wedding we wish them all the best.

The Studio is a purpose built space with over 1500sq ft of space featuring a portrait, wedding and now Boudoir studio.
After extensive work with joiners, builders,and plumbers we are pleased to say we are now fully opened to old and new clients.

Well yesterday we finally got to the first formal wedding of the year which was held in a gorgeous church Larbert Old Parish, and then on to the fabulous location of Glenbervie House Hotel.
Julie and Iain were 2nd prize winners in a competition we held at the Braehead Wedding Show last year and they were delighted to accept a voucher towards their wedding photography with us.
The day started off at Julie's home in Larbert where when we arrived she and her bridesmaids were busy getting their hair and make up done while drinking champagne in the conservatory, Angela then stayed with Julie to help her into her gown and take the preparation photos while Duncan went on to Iain's home to get photos of him with the guys getting ready.
When Julie was ready she brought tears to her dads eyes as she kept her gown a secret from him .
The service went well, but nearly didn't ,as minutes before Julie was due to leave for church she realised that she had forgotten to give the minister a copy of the vows that she and Iain had written, but she managed to email a copy to him before he arrived to conduct the wedding ceremony.
Once the ceremony was over, the wedding party then moved on to Glenbervie House Hotel for the photos which mostly had to be taken inside due to the high winds, but that didn't make any difference to the couple as they were just so excited about their wedding and also the fabulous 8 week honeymoon they were about to go on , taking in such places as Boston, New York, Canada, and then ending in a 2 week cruise in the Med.

Just to let everyone know we are still here , many of you know that we go on our '' SUMMER HOLS " in December/January and when we came back we were straight into Wedding Show Fever.
When we returned to the studio we were met with several burst pipes which meant that we were unable to use the studio for a while, also we spent the last week exhibiting at The Scottish wedding show in Braehead Arena, [ Thank you to all you came and those who booked] .

Now thats all over we are finally getting back to normal, and will be doing a few boudoir shoots over the next week or so for Valentines day.
Our first wedding of year is in a few weeks [ its hard to believe the season is about to start all over again ]

DES AND VIOLET 13TH DEC 2009

For those of you who read our blog you will remember that a few months ago we did a family portrait session for Des and Violet and their lovely family, you will remember just how photogenic they all were then
Well yesterday Des and Violet tied the knot in the wonderful venue of Ingliston Equestrian Club in Bishopton.
The weather as you would expect was very cold and foggy but this did not make any difference to the day as between the tears there was lots of laughter from everyone.
Violet looked stunning in the gorgeous ivory gown and the look in Des,s face as she walked down the aisle was a picture, Violet even managed to keep composed during the vows .
After the ceremony we even managed to brave 5 mins outside in the fog to get a few wonderful shots of the entrance to Ingliston.

The couple then hosted a wonderful reception for 45 guests.

Mondays at Pics and Blooms are usually the day that all the downloading of the weekends weddings is done but not this Monday, as we had the pleasure of photographing Louise and Anthony,s wedding in the gorgeous St Marys Immaculate Church Pollokshaws .
The Weather was glorious considering it was the end of Oct, so when we arrived at Louise,s home we found everyone very calm and laid back.
Louise arrived at the church at little late looking radiant in a lovely Ivory satin gown with a gorgeous matching Italian style lace veil, this was a testament to the fact that both Louise and Anthony are from Italian families.
The emotional Service held in front of nearly 300 guests went well, after which the wedding party went onto the Botanic gardens in Glasgows Westend for the photographs then it was just a quick hop across the road to their reception venue at the Hilton Hotel .

MICHELLE AND YERIK 24TH OCT

Yesterday we had a wedding that was almost a surprise to us as it was only booked several days before the day .
When Michelle called us to ask our availability for 24th oct we replied is it in 2010 or 2011 , when Michelle said 2009 we nearly fell of seat as it was less than a week away.
Michelle arrived looking stunning for the ceremony which was held in Paisley at the St Mathews, where a nervous looking Yerik grinned from ear to ear as she walked down the aisle with her dad.
After the vows there were a few tears when one of Michelle friends got up and said a few words about Michelle and Yeriks work with Jumping Jacks, a centre Michelle opened to help people with addictions.
Once the service was over the guests walked a few yards over to the Watermill Hotel for the reception while the main wedding party stayed behind for the photographs as by this time the weather had turned really wet.

Michelle and Yerik are away very soon for a well deserved honeymoon to Lanzarote....

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of doing a family portrait for a lovely local couple Des and Violet and their kids.

Although not married to each other [ yet] they thought it would be a lovely idea to have a portrait taken before their wedding in December and before one of Des's sons start a wonderful journey travelling around the world soon .
The shoot started off in the Studio with Violet and her daughter Ashley have a few mother/daughter shots, then some family groups were taken before everyone going outside into the grounds of our studio at Finlaystone for some wonderful shots in the lovely autumn sunshine .

The family were so happy with the shots that they decided to book Pics and Blooms photography for their wedding in December .

We cant wait to do this wedding knowing we will have such a photogenic family.

This weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Mark and Donna,s wedding at the Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew. The day began at the brides home for some getting ready shots where Donna surprised us with being ready when we arrived, something that is totally unheard of with most brides.
The service conducted by a Humanist had the guests laughing their heads off after Mark made some funny comments during the vows. Once the service was over the families went outside for some formals before Mark and Donna headed off to Ross Hall for some gorgeous shots of them together.

we are looking forward to seeing them again when they return from honeymoon in two weeks.

SUSAN & ANDREW 3RD OCT 2009

Many of you who regularly read our blog will remember this couple who we first met in February when they came to our Studio in Finlaystone to accept 1st prize of a complete wedding album in our wedding competition held in at the Braehead Wedding Show .
On that day the snow was over 2inches deep on the ground, but yesterday the sun shone for the couple when they were married in the Eagle Lodge in Bishopbriggs.
Andrew arrived looking suitably nervous but he soon relaxed when he saw Susan walking down the aisle looking gorgeous. The vows went without any problems after which the couple went outside for a few photos with their vintage beaufort before having some formals taken with friends and family.

Susan and Andrew are now of on Honeymoon to Tunisia, so we cant wait for them to come back and see their fantastic photos.....

MELANIE & GAVIN 25TH SEPT 2009

This weekend we had the great pleasure of being part of Melanie and Gavins long awaited wedding in the gorgeous Luss Parish Church in Loch Lomond.
Driving up to Melanie's house for the preparation photos we were a little worried as the weather started to get a bit dull, but this was only an advantage in the end as the dark skies only made the photographs look so much more dramatic.

After the service the couple walked from the church along to the famous jetty for some stunning photographs with the wind blowing through Melanie's 10ft long veil.
The couple held their reception in the lovely Duck Bay Marina, and at the end of the night had a surprise for the guests with a fabulous firework display.

AMANDA & JAMES 5TH SEPT 2009

This Saturday we had the pleasure of attending Amanda and James's wedding in Mosspark parish church. The weather when we arrived at Amanda's house was quite wet and windy, but when she came out of her house with her Dad it started to clear up a bit, which was just as well as there must have been over 50 neighbours waiting to see her leave.
The service went really well after which Amanda and James decided to brave the weather to go to Pollok House for their photos, allowing the rest of the wedding party to carry on the the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew for the reception.

Our next couple of this weekend was Tracy and Stephen , The wedding took place in Merrylee Parish church Glasgow then onto the Bruce Hotel in East Kilbride for the reception.

Tracy had everyone on tenterhooks when she was held up at the hairdressers and didn't arrive back at her house until only 10 minutes before the ceremony leaving her in the house alone with her dad after all the bridesmaids had left for the church, fortunately we [ Angela ] stayed behind at the house and managed to dress the bride and take her photos in only 5 minutes.

The service conducted by the Rev Hood went perfectly , after which the wedding party went to the lovely Greenbank gardens for the formal photographs , we even managed to dodge the rain .

Tracy and Stephen are now away for a well earned honeymoon to Tenerife

This week we travelled to the Strathaven hotel for Diane and Davids wedding. The day started off a bit wet but soon cleared up in the afternoon leaving us with some pretty high winds to contend with. The service conducted by a registrar went without a hitch even though Dianne was physically rattling with nerves as she walked down the aisle, but as soon as she saw David waiting on her she soon calmed down .
The photographs were taken at the hotel, which had a unique feature of an old red telephone box in the garden.
Diane and David are now away on a fantastic honeymoon to Jamaica.

Many of you who are regulars to our blog site will remember the names of this weekends bride and groom as they were recently featured when they had an engagement shoot at our studio.
Well yesterday they were married in the wonderful House of an Art Lover in Glasgow. The weather in the morning was pretty wet, which prompted Julie to cancel a guard of honer by her majorettes class, but as the time for the wedding grew near we had one or two dry moments enough to let us get out and get some photos in the walled gardens.
Once the formals were finished it started to rain again so it was a mad dash back inside to finish the photographs in the gorgeous room designed by Charles Rennie McIntosh .......

Richard and Julie are now away on a fabulous 3 week honeymoon to Hong Kong

Wedding show fever

This weekend for us is the start of a very busy wedding show season , it started with a special 2 day preview in the Braehead shopping centre to promote the The Scottish wedding exhibition in 2 weeks time on the 5th and 6th Sept . We were delighted to be the only photographer to be at this special preview which turned out to be a lot of fun for us especially as we made a lot of new friends.

After the Braehead Exhibition we are delighted to have been asked to exhibit at the first wedding show ever held in the Reid Mckeown Centre in Erskine Hospital, this show is also in part to raise funds for the ex servicemens appeal and also to promote the centre as a new wedding venue.This show will take place on the 12th Sept.

Our next exhibition will take place on Sat 10th October , this time we will be at Rangers Football Stadium for which we are over the moon at being chosen as the only photographer to asked to attend . This is a new venue for us so it should be an exciting day all round .
After the Wedding show in Ibrox stadium we will then be exhibiting in one of our old haunts , The Normandy Hotel in Renfrew , we say this as we had our studio based in this hotel just over a year ago so it will be like going back to see an old friend .
This wedding show will take place in November [ dates will be confirmed later]

ANNETTE AND GAVIN 15TH AUG 2009.

Our second wedding this week had us travelling to St Peters church in Paisley for Annette and Gavins lovely wedding.

The weather was a bit better than the day before so after the ceremony conducted by Father Cameron the main bridal party travelled to our home turf of Finlayston for the photos.

The reception was held in the Holiday Inn where Annette works on the reception desk , and when the couple arrived the entire staff where waiting at the door to greet them with Champagne which was a lovely touch.
I,m sure that made them both feel really special.

On what seemed to be one of the wettest days of the year, we travelled to the fantastic venue of Airth Castle for Leanne and Chris's wedding, but before we got there we stopped off at leannes home to get some lovely photos of her getting ready.

When we arrived it was hard to believe that it was Leannes wedding day as she was so calm, even with the torrential rain outside nothing seemed to wipe the smile off her face.
The service went very well, but through the vows the couple kept a secret from the guests, as they turned to walk up the aisle the song signed sealed delivered was played to which he whole bridal party danced up the aisle.

The couple will soon be away on a luxurious honeymoon, we hope they have a fantstic time and cant wait to see them to show them their fantastic photos.

last night we had the pleasure of doing a portrait sitting for a fantastic couple Elaine and Phil. Elaine was given a voucher for a portrait by her workmates for her 21st birthday and thought it would be nice to bring her boyfriend Phil along.
As the weather finally stopped raining we thought it would be nice to take all of the photos in the grounds of our Studio at Finlaystone Estate and as you can see the scenery was spectacular, Elaine even had a quick go on the zip slide.

On what was one of our busiest weekends this year, we were happy to be part of another lovely wedding. Hayley and Maurice chose to get to have their wedding ceremony in the very popular Bonhill Parish church, it was conducted by the Rev Ian Miller and as usual with all of his weddings it was fun from start to finish.
The weather was kind to Hayley and Maurice so when the service was over it was straight to the prestigious venue of Ross Priory in Gartocharn for the formal photographs and a sumptuous reception.
Hayley and Maurice were lucky to have a venue that was on the banks of lomond where many of their stunning photographs were taken.
The couple will be away soon to Sorrento for a well earned honeymoon.

LEANNE & VINCENT 25TH JULY 2009

Leanne and Vincent chose the lovely venue of St Mirins Cathedral for their wedding in near perfect weather. After seeing Leanne at her mothers house before the wedding she seemed very calm and laid back , so it was a shock to see her arrive at the church overcome with emotion, after a few brief moments Leanne was ready to walk down the aisle to meet Vincent who was so nervous he couldn't look round until Leanne joined his side.
The service went well with a bit of hilarity in between when one of the readers lost her page in the bible .
When we left the cathedral the bridal party went to the lovely private grounds of Ross hall for the family photos, after which it was back to the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew to meet up with their family and friends.
Leanne and Vincent are sunning themselves in Cyprus for 2 weeks

NICOLA & ROBERT 24TH JULY 2009

Nicola and Roberts wedding went without hitch this weekend after a few problems several weeks earlier when Nicola lost her gown in the collapse of the bridal shop where she bought it. The new gown that Nicola chose second time around was completely different but it was far stunning than the first , so much so she drew gasps as she entered the Mid Kirk church in Greenock.

After the ceremony and a few photos at the church the entire wedding party proceeded to Finlaystone Country Estate the home of our studio for the formal wedding shots, the weather being a little windy caused a few hairy moments when we thought we were about to lose Nicola's veil onto the treetops.
When the formals ended we left to go back to the Greenock Town hall for the reception with family and friends from as far away as Australia and Canada.
Nicola and Robert will be leaving for a luxury honeymoon next week.

JACQUELINE AND ROBERT 19/07/09

On what started our to be a very dodgy day weatherwise, it brightened up nicely for Jacqueline and Roberts wedding yesterday in the Sherbrook castle. Jacqueline looking stunning as she arrived with her 3 lovely bridesmaids.
After a very emotional ceremony , the wedding party headed off the the stunning location of Pollok Country park for the formal shoot. While we were in there we crossed with another wedding which just happened to be Asian, it really was nice to see the two weddings from 2 totally different cultures.
When we arrived back at the Sherbrook castle we were fortunate enough to just complete the photos before the heavens opened.

Jacqueline and Robert are heading off on a luxury honeymoon soon in the Dominican Republic.

ANNETTE & GAVINS ENGAGEMENT

This week we have one of our favourite bridal couples up for their engagement shoot in Finlaystone Country Estate. Annette and Gavin came in on Thursday when the park was closed to the public which was perfect as we able to walk through the woods without interruption.
The shoot only took around 30 mins but it gave the couple a good insight into how things will go on their wedding day .
Annette and Gavin have opted to have their wedding photographs taken in the grounds of our studio as well so we already know they will be stunning , especially with such a good looking couple.

DONNA AND CRAIG 4TH JULY 2009

The second wedding for this weekend saw us travelling to the lovely Coats Memorial church in Paisley for the wedding of Donna and Craig. The couple have been known to us for a while as Donna was a bridesmaid at a wedding we did 2 years ago, so we felt like we had met up with old friends again.
The Weather was fine, which was a blessing as the gorgeous Donna and her dad had to walk up the spectacular stairs to get into the church.
The wedding was conducted by the Rev Douglas Ralph, and it just happened to one of the last he will conduct as he has now retired as minister in Coats Memorial.
After the ceremony the guests all travelled to the prestigious Dunblane Hydro Hotel by coach for the reception, and as the weather stayed dry we were able to get the family shots at the bottom of the long driveway with Dunblane Hydro in the background.
Donna and Craig have still to decide on a honeymoon destination, but I'm sure they will be calling soon to see their photos.

Nikki and Jonathan 3rd July 2009

On Friday of this week we travelled to the lovely venue of Seamill Hydro for Nikki and Jonathons wedding, hoping that the nice weather from the previous few days would be still there. Unfortunatley the weather decided to change and we were met with thunderous storms, but this did not matter as Nikki still looked radiant when she arrived at the venue with her bridesmaids. The service conducted by the Rev Ian Miller went without a hitch, but not without a few jokes made by the minister which helped ease the couples nerves.
After the ceremony the skies cleared just enough to allow us to get out into the lawn for the bridal and family shots.
We are looking forward to seeing the couple again, to show them what stunning photographs they have.

BRIAN AND TRACY 13TH JUNE 2009

Saturday of this week saw us travelling to the lovely venue of Glenskirlie Castle in Banknock for Tracy and Brians wedding. Tracy looked fabulous when she arrived in her open top bridal car in the glorious sunshine, and when she walked down the aisle there were a few tears in the congregations eyes.

The service conducted by the local registrar went really quickly enabling us to get the time to go along to a local beauty spot for the family group shots.
When we arrived back at the reception venue many of the guests were outside enjoying the weather waiting for Tracy and Brian to return and complete the photo shoot before going into enjoy their meal.

Yesterdays wedding in Loch Lomond could not have been nicer, first of all we had a lovely couple in Caroline and Chris, but not only that the weather was fantastic.
Caroline looked gorgeous in her organza gown, and Chris was not bad too.......
The ceremony was held in the prestigous Lodge in the Loch and conducted by the Rev Georgie Baxendale. After the ceremony the couple went down to the lovely village of Luss for stunning photographs with Ben Lomond as a backdrop.

Caroline and Chris are now away on a long awaited honeymoon to Greece.

Our second wedding this weekend was with a lovely couple Ann Marie and Stefan at Eastwood House in Glasgow, it was a lovely ceremony with the bride and bridesmaids making their grand entrance from the top of the stairs to the sounds of gasps from the congregation below.
After the ceremony the whole wedding party proceeded to Ross Hall Park for the official group photos, after which they travelled onto the Ralston Golf and Country club to meet up with the rest of their guests.
The couple are now on Honeymoon to a secret location, at least to Ann Marie who has no idea where Stefan is taking her ...........

However we look forward to seeing them on their return from ???????

Friday of this week saw us attending the wedding of a lovely couple Joanne and Jason at St Marys church Paisley.
The day started off pretty wet, but just as the gorgeous Joanne was ready to go to church the sun finally came through. The ceremony went without a hitch, with some fantastic shots of the couple being taken in the church before going onto the prestigeous Gleddoch House for the remainder of the family shots.
We enjoyed the couples wedding so much we even stayed on for a meal and carried on into the reception to capture the couples evening guests arriving.
Joanne and Jason are now away on a fantastic Honeymoon to Barbados......

One of our couples who are getting married in a few weeks popped into the studio today to have their pre wedding chat for their forthcoming wedding in Coats memorial and Dumblane Hydro.

While they were in the weather was lovely so we decided to take a few shots for their memory board. We cant wait to shoot their wedding now ....

Donna, Paul and baby Megan Elise

Many of you who read our blog posts will remember Donna and Paul, as well as being one of our favourite wedding couples from last year, Donna came into us just a few weeks ago for a Maternity shootwhich we also showed on the blog.

Well today they brought in the results, Baby Megan Elise aged 4 weeks, as you can see from the photos below she is a wee cracker with a full head of dark hair and just like the previous baby we had into the studio she was a a nosy wee thing, we tried on several occasions to get her to sleep but she decided to stay awake the whole time.

SUZANNE & ALISTAIR 30TH MAY 2009

The third wedding this week saw us travelling just up the road to the prestigious Cameron House Hotel in Loch lomond for Suzanne and Alistairs wedding, again the weather was fantastic .
Suzanne arrived for the ceremony looking lovely in the one of the cutest wedding cars we have ever seen, an Ivory coloured convertible volkswagon beetle.
After the vows the entire wedding party went out to the lawn for champagne and strawberries with the stunning backdrop of Ben Lomond in the background.
There was a brief moment of hilarity when the couple were having some photographs on the jetty, a passing speedboat caused the jetty to sway from side to side so much everyone nearly ended in the water.
Back in the hotel the couple where surprised to find that when they went to cut the cake there was not one but two cakes, one was in the shape of the stage at T in the park complete with Pete Docherty.

SIOBHAN & CRIAG 30TH MAY

The second of our weddings this weekend was with a couple known to us for a long time, as the bride was a bridesmaid at a wedding we did last year, but as a bride Siobhan was even more lovely .
Siobhan and Craig picked the fantastic venue of Burnhouse Manor to tie the knot, again we were blessed with fantastic weather with the temps being even higher that the previous day.
Most of the photos were taken around the Manor, but the couple did manage to get away for a few moments alone to get some photos taken at a lovely little cottage at the end of driveway.
The happy couple are now away to Cancun for a well earned honeymoon.

KIRSTY & JAMES 29TH MAY 2009

This weekend we had the pleasure of photographing 3 lovely weddings , the first was at the Gorgeous Glenskirlie House in Banknock, where Kirsty and James chose to hold their wedding ceremony . The weather could not have been better for a change with temperatures reaching over 73degrees.
Kirsty looked radient when she arrived, and there were even a few tears during the vows too.
After the ceremony the couple went Colzium country park for their photo shoot.

They are now away on a fantastic honeymoon to the Maldives.

NICOLA & CRAIG 23RD MAY 2009

Well as previously mentioned we had a busy weekend last week with two weddings being held. The second of our two lovely couples were Nicola and Craig who chose to hold the ceremony in the gorgeous Dalmeny Park Country House Hotel in Barrhead .
The morning of the wedding was a little bit wet and windy but it soon dried up when Nicola arrived in a lovely open top vintage limo.
The ceremony held in the Garden Suite was full of laughter and tears when Nicola managed to fluff her vows , throwing the minister off his stride.
After the ceremony the couple and their guests went into the gardens for the photos , the whole time we were there the rain managed to stay off .

Nicola and Craig are now off for a luxurious honeymoon to Mexico ...........

EILEEN AND DEREK 23RD MAY 2009

Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing two lovely couples weddings.
The first wedding was with Eileen and Derek a couple who we have known for a while as Eileens dad works in the place where our previous studio used to be based.
Eileen and Derek held their wedding in the Holiday Inn Glasgow airport , and although the day started off a bit cold and windy they were still able to travel to the grounds of our studio at Finlaystone Country Estate for the bridal shoot to be done with their wedding party.
After the photos were taken everyone travelled back to the Holiday Inn for the remainder of their photos to be taken and the reception to begin.
Eileen and Derek are now taking a well earned rest before returning to work next week.

Caroline,Chris and Zara

The second of our couples who we had their shoot last week was Caroline, Chris and their gorgeous little girl Zara .

Caroline and Chris are getting married very soon so thought it would be a good idea to come in and get some photos together as a family before the big day.
